Néstor Arranz
Néstor Arranz was barely more than a kid when his father introduced him and his sister to a series of films by Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin. Slipping down stairs or skating wasn’t his forte, so he preferred to stay behind the camera. He studied a Higher Degree in Filmmaking at CEF and a Master’s in Cinematography Direction at CEV (they’re not the same institution). Now, between working as a technician or projectionist in Mallorca, he directs his own shorts or serves as the cinematographer for others.
FANTATERROR (2023) is the most recognized project he’s worked on, co-written and co-directed with Oscar RIP. Néstor also handled the cinematography. The project earned a solid national and international run, selected in over a dozen festivals—a solid achievement for a fairly amateur short.
He is one of the creators of the so-called NIT de MATANZES ORIGINALS.
