Martin ist ein übermütiger Teenager, der an seinem ersten Arbeitstag in den Minen auf den alten Andres trifft, der ihm die Bedeutung der Ahnenrituale und den Respekt vor dem TIO erklärt, dem Dämonengott, der die Minen bewacht und dem er auch ein Opfer bringen muss, um in Ruhe arbeiten zu können. Martins Unverschämtheit und Ungläubigkeit vor dem TIO zieht den Zorn des Minenwächters auf sich, was schwerwiegende Folgen hat.

Juan José Medina
Juan José Medina was born on November 19, 1974 in Guadalajara Jalisco México, graduated from the school of plastic arts of the University of Guadalajara. At the same university he studied in the TV and video department and began his work as a filmmaker in 1995. Thanks to the co-direction of the „The Eighth Day, Creation“ (2000) he has achieved various awards at festivals inside and outside the country. He has also participated in a dozen productionsco-animator and art director. He wrote and directed his second short film „Cages“ (2009) with which he won various international festivals. Winner of 4 Arieles from the Mexican Academy of Artes and Film Sciences, from 2013 to 2015 member of the National System of Creators of Art. In 2015 he directed the short film „ZIMBO“ with which he has participated in more than 50 festivals, winning ten of these. Animation direction and editing of the feature film „Salma´s Big Wish“ which he co-wrote in 2012. He produces and directs the short film „Tío“ in 2021, and develops his debut „Niño Carbón“.
