Director/Writer Ryan Michael made his short film debut with the family-driven Horror Thriller,
The 12th Day. A recent graduate from Auckland University of Technology, Michael has seeked a career in film since his early teens, when he found a love for all things grotesque, macabre and bloodcurdling. Growing up in suburban New Zealand, Michael sought to tell and create stories that would draw people away from the daily drab of suburbia. A keen writer at the time, it wasn’t until his older sister told him to “study film at highschool for an easy credit” that Michael found his love for cinema. From then on he has seeked to tell stories that leave you gripping at the armchair, and unable to look away.
