Short Film
The cockroach

Clara Chinaski
Clara Chinaski is a young and incipient director from Mallorca, who is making her debut on the underground and irreverent film scene with an ode to bad taste and the most outdated and comical camp.
La Cucaracha is a short film that pours onto the screen a grotesque mix of foul humor, brazen references to niche films, and visual absurdities ranging from B-movie body horror to a meta-cinema steeped in dark humor.
Among its goals is to unearth a kitsch and deliberately excessive sensibility characteristic of armed assaults on commercial taste, such as Pink Flamingos and Pepi, Luci, and Bom, honoring the figure of John Waters above all other saints of the queer, freak, and mega retro underworld.
Through its imagery, she seeks to provoke everything from the most reprehensible disgust to outrage, nervous laughter and cringe, without, at any point whatsoever, apologizing for it.
