Short Film
We’re All Haunted Here

Director Statement
This concept came from observations, both within myself and my environment growing up. In seeing the fallout that people dear to me experienced, I came to understand what our lives became the more we tried to run from what had happened. It was so fascinating to me how the emotions of others can snowball into the lives of so many people. That permeation of grief, and fear, stuck with me longer than I had realized.
Exploring this story as a horror film felt so natural because horror has always felt like home to me. It’s a genre I’ve been dedicated to since I was a child and developed a comfort with the way horror movies spoke to me. It’s a genre that is unafraid to look into the darkness of life and pick it apart from the inside. I found it to be a deeply emotional drama, perfect for presenting resonating messages in unique ways.
