Pavlos Sifakis

Pavlos Sifakis was born in Athens in 1986. He has a BA in Filmmaking, an MA in Screenwriting, and a PhD in Screenwriting. He co-wrote the short film „Patision Avenue“ (2018) that premiered at Venice International Film Festival and won three prizes at Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival. His first short film as writer-director, „Ecdysis“ was funded by the Greek Film Centre and screened at many important horror film festivals (Macabro Int’l Horror Film Festival, Grimmfest Easter Horror Nights, Fargo Fantastic Film Festival and more). His second short film, „Tzitzipongo“, funded by the Greek Public Broadcaster (ERT) and the Greek Film Centre compteted at numerous comedy and children film festivals. It won 3rd audience award and sreenplay award at the Micro ? Film Festival in Athens. In 2020 he was selected to participate in the Talents Sarajevo Script Station programme and in the Mediterrenean Film Institute’s Script 2 Film Screenwriting Workshops with his feature project „Bloody Mary“. His third short film titled „Hunter“ is a post-apocalyptic thriller that premiered at the 47th Drama International Short Film Festival.
