Charli Sangar

Charli Sangar is a filmmaker and musician from Barcelona (Spain) born in 1979. He spent years playing in various metal music bands in Barcelona. He has always been passionate about cinema in general and horror films in particular, and it was precisely while he was preparing and recording music videos for his bands, when he focused more deeply on his career as a filmmaker.
He was the creator of the four official Soul Dealer music videos and also made several more with the stop-motion technique.
He started making stop-motion animated shorts in the 2020 lockdown. He shot them all with a mobile phone, clay and a lot of red paint, and to his surprise, he achieved many selections at film festivals around the world and was even awarded with best animated short on many occasions.
In 2021 he released the short film „Las Putas Pastillas“.
In 2022 he released the short film „Sangre Sangrienta“.
In 2023 he released the short film „The Tree“.
In 2024 he is releasing his first feature film „Bloody Tales in Bonfire Light“. This film has also been shot with a mobile phone and clay. It includes his short films and it is a clear tribute to the Hammer and Amicus productions, based on a compilation of several horror stories.
Also in 2024 he is presenting a new short called ‚Frecuencia Z‘. It is a gory animation short full of zombies.
