Having begun with creating the illusion of life with pencil and paper animation, Lisa developed the skills that gave her a unique point of view and skill set involving all aspects of the filmmaking process.
As an animator, she is acting, becoming the camera, the lighting, the staging, and the designer who is empowered to edit the story before production begins. The baseline of animation gave Lisa a unique tool set to shift into directing.
Becoming a prolific award winning Production Designer for creative minds like James Gunn and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa gave Lisa an unlimited playground to flex her abilities.
As an animating designer, Lisa was always directed to a degree. This was noticed on The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina where Lisa was handed the reins to direct. Her passionate animated style of directing spotlighted her trajectory. As creators, we inevitably encounter barriers when it comes to our art and assessing our worth as artists. This film guides viewers through this authentic struggle, emphasizing the capacity to conquer our internal self-sabotaging obstacles without losing sight of the importance of levity.
